Many of you met Carly Fleischmann when she was featured in a story on ABC News in 2008. Carly is a teenage girl with autism who is non-verbal and types to communicate. Carly is an outstanding example for all of us in how far she has come in developing her communication skills. She has struggled greatly with her autistic behaviors and symptoms and it is not easy for her to communicate and yet she does so beautifully. We are so lucky to have the opportunity to get to know Carly and she is a wonderful role model for us all.
